Remote Lakeside Cabins
Six remote lakeside log cabins welcome you with spectacular views of Little Spencer Mountain. Operated by a registered Maine Guide, these fully furnished housekeeping cabins focus on a non-modernized return to rustic simplicity, the way life used to be.

The cabins are fully furnished for comfort -with games, cozy spots to relax, and warm woodstoves. Plumbing is "out back" and relaxation is everwhere. Cabins have docks, canoes, and kayaks included so you can enjoy fishing, wildlife watching, and paddling on Spencer Pond.

Guided Trips
Provided by Coyote Ridge Guide Service with registered Maine & New Hampshire Guides.

Be ready to get remote, use your compass, and give fair chase. This is big woods, deep woods, remote woods. The Moosehead Region sits in what is known as the Maine Highlands, abutting the Maine North Woods. This region is teeming with a variety of activities for the outdoor enthusiast and there is a little something for everyone.

Moose & Wildlife Tours
These tours are a popular way to see and learn about Maine’s abundant wildlife. Moose, deer,  beaver, a wide variety of ducks, geese, loon, and blue heron are just a few of the many animals found in our area.

Our typical three-hour tours are conducted by boat on Spencer Pond. However, may also be conducted by vehicle at our guide’s discretion. We can also tailor trips around your needs or preferences. Because wildlife is unpredictable, we cannot guarantee the sighting of any specific animals, but you’ll always have fun!

Guided Fishing Trips
We offer both spin casting and Fly-Fishing trips in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine. Guided trips include tackle and rods, transportation, and bait. We also supply waders for fly fishing and boats or canoes that may be appropriate for the trip. In the winter we offer ice fishing trips on Moosehead Lake and in Millinocket. All equipment is included.

Guided Hunting Trips
There is a variety of game in our area, and we offer a wide variety of guided trips, or you can rent a cabin and do it on your own. Some of the game around the area include ruffed grouse, upland birds, turkey, duck, goose, deer, bear, and moose (will need a Maine Moose permit). We also offer a gun dog for Grouse hunting.

Guided hunting trips include transportation, tree stands as necessary, any decoys specific to the hunt, and other equipment necessary for retrieval of game. When you book with us, we pre-scout the areas to maximize success.

Historic Lost Trains Tour
Our drive traverses moose country and has many scenic vistas along the way. The destination? A pair of steam locomotives that were once a part of the North Maine Woods’ logging industry, a short 1.5-mile hike along old logging roads. The original railroad ran for a dozen miles, and the area still contains many relics and remains from the 1920s. This scenic area between Eagle and Chamberlain Lakes is a great spot to explore, enjoy a picnic, and take photos of your experience.

Lobster-Chesuncook Lakes Canoe Tour
Can you imagine camping on beautiful sandy beaches under the starry East Coast skies while cooking meals over an open campfire? The Lobster–Chesuncook Lakes Canoe Tour is a great way for paddlers of every level to experience a five-day backcountry adventure.

Putting in at Lobster Stream, the typical itinerary includes an overnight stop at Lobster Lake, two nights at off-grid campsites along the West Branch Penobscot River, and one night on Mauser Island on Chesuncook Lake. Follow in the footsteps of the Abenaki Indians, French Voyageurs, and Henry David Thoreau. Along the way, there are numerous places to stop, stretch, and fish.

In addition to the gorgeous scenery, the trip will wrap up at Chesuncook Village. The site of a historic museum and a large collection of classic hand-built canoes. This adventure is completely off-grid and we carry all our gear, food, and supplies in, the same way explorers have done for centuries. The guide will cook two square meals each day, provide picnic-style lunches, and plenty of snacks throughout the day. There is always something for everyone on this trip.
